The River-to-Rock trail adds 1.5 miles to the Beacon Rock climb and offers parking away from the crowds. The trail hooks up to the trail to the top of Beacon Rock. Begin this hike at Doestch Day Use Area. Wildflowers in the spring and blackberries in the summer make this a nice beginning to your 846-foot climb to the top of the rock. Visit the marina at the day use area for a picnic and another incredible view of the infamous Beacon Rock. Escape the crowded parking and discover Beacon Rock State Park.

Getting there: Once you pass Beacon Rock on Hwy 14, you will continue another 0.7 miles and turn left on Doetsch Ranch Road (signed). Go past the Day Use Area and park in the large parking lot. The River-to-Rock trail starts near railroad bridge and road towards RV camping area.

Note: Washington Discover Pass required for parking
